Film Screening: Guarding the Galilee

Guarding_the_Galilee.jpgPresented by Queensland born actor Michael Caton, 'Guarding the Galilee' is a 30 minute documentary on the battle to stop the biggest coal mine in Australian history, Adani's Carmichael project.

The award-winning documentary team captures the raw beauty of the Queensland outback, where Adani's mine threatens essential water resouces and Indigenous land rights, and will contribute to dangerous climate change leading to more extreme weather events and endanger our precious Great Barrier Reef.

The documentary is hosted by Darebin Council in partnership with Darebin Climate Action Now.

The documentary will be followed by a panel discussion with speakers to include Charlie Wood from 350.org, Jane Morton from Darebin Climate Action Now, and others soon to be confirmed.
